Astronaut

Pelle Bast is a doubter, but his alter ego, Astronaut, steps on the devil's tail. As soon as he steps on stage, the singer-songwriter from the Achterhoek transforms into a fearless kitchen-table philosopher. With shuffling indie drums, blaring horns that take over the vocal lines and subtle guitar parts, he contemplates life—his musings floating on a fluid instrumentation that lands somewhere between Roosbeef, De Toegift and Spinvis.

Their debut album Eeuwig Voor Een Tijdje already provided Pelle and his band with sold-out shows and a summer full of festival performances, including Wildeburg and Into The Great Wide Open. In 2025, the new album De Lucht will mark the next step—A record where the whole thing develops from a singer-songwriter project to a full-fledged indie band.
