Anora
The 5-time Oscar winner Anora follows the story of a young woman navigating personal and societal challenges in a quest for her identity. As she pursues her dreams, she is confronted with the complexities of love, loss and self-discovery.
Ivan stays for a while in the billionaire family's expensive apartment in New York, where he lives it up and meets 23-year-old lap dancer Anora (Mikey Madison), the same age as Ivan, in a strip club. The young, Russian-American sex worker Anora (Madison, fantastic) prefers to call herself Ani - because that sounds more American - and works in a luxury brothel in Brighton Beach, New York. One day, loose cannon Ivan (energy bundle Eidelshtein, also fantastic) comes along. He is the son of a Russian oligarch and likes Ani so much that he hires her privately. Which leads to a hastily arranged marriage in Las Vegas and a whole lot of comic complications when Ivan's mother hears about it in Russia.
