André het astronautje | Klein Amsterdam Producties 4+
How do you become a good astronaut? Do you need to know where the planets are? And how do you actually get there, into space?
In André the little astronaut, a little boy investigates these questions from behind his computer. With the help of the internet, he learns everything he needs to know about space and prepares for his journey to the moon. He is busy on aardbol.com. He searches and clicks and one package after another is delivered. From one box he takes the earth, from another the blazing hot sun. The solar system is created in flowing movements, supported by beautiful music. Objects become magically beautiful. The boy builds and repairs, and eventually travels to the moon in a rocket he built himself. Once on the moon, he goes exploring and makes a special discovery.
In this solo performance, featuring the voice of André Kuipers, accompanied by unique soundscapes by composer and musical artist Daan van West, children are introduced to space travel, life as an astronaut and our vulnerable planet in a playful way. It is a theatrical translation of Kuipers' book André het astronautje, in which he shows how wonderfully beautiful the earth is, that technology and science are super fun and how cool it is to make dreams come true.
Visiting the performance is only possible under supervision.
