The American presidential elections will not only determine the future of the deeply divided country, but also that of the rest of the world. Is democracy really at stake? And can Europe continue to count on the US?

In the American Election Show, journalists Laila Frank and Bernard Hammelburg dive on stage together with correspondent Jan Postma, live from the US, deep into American politics and society. With gripping stories and sharp analyses, they teach you to get to know the restless America of today again.

How big is the influence of the assassination attempt on Trump in the campaign? And with which strategy does Harris think she will win? In the dynamic and atmospheric American Election Show of Haagsch College and the BNR America Podcast, Laila, Bernard and Jan tell you everything you need to know to understand the crucial battle for the White House.
