A Minecraft Movie, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the first-ever live-action adaptation of Minecraft, the most successful video game of all time. The film is directed by Jared Hess and stars Jason Momoa and Jack Black. The film also stars Emma Myers (“Wednesday”), Oscar nominee Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”), Sebastian Hansen (“Just Mercy,” “Lisey's Story”) and Jennifer Coolidge (“White Lotus”). The Dutch voice cast will be announced later this year. Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity is not only useful, but essential to survival. Four misfits with their own problems – Garrett “the Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers) and Dawn (Brooks) – suddenly find themselves, through a mysterious portal, in the Overworld: a bizarre cubist wonderland where imagination is everything. To return, they must survive in this new world and fight against evil creatures such as Piglins and Zombies. With unexpected help from expert Steve (Black), they embark on a magical mission. The five adventurers will have to be brave and discover their own unique creative qualities – skills they will also need in real life.
